Poor weather conditions did not affect the show at the 2008 Tourist Trophy held today at Silverstone as the FIA GT got going. Vitaphone Racing's Maserati MC12s ran an aggressive race, recovering ground after cutely deciding to head back into the pits to mount slicks. Bertolini / Bartels came in second and Negraõ / Ramos seventh; results that promise much in what will be a long and difficult championship. Bertolini / Bartels did well to steer clear of the traffic at the start and, once more, the ever-reliable MC12 did the rest.
