A wet warm-up at Zolder

The rain that fell during the night was not absorbed by the asphalt and so the thirty minute free practice session ahead of the race was held on a wet track. It was useless to take any risks given the importance of today’s race. Hezemans/Kumpen aside (who set the best time of 1:44.168), the other crews who shone were the Maserati MC12s with Müller/Ramos in fifth (1:46.445), Bertolini/Bartels sixth (1:46.846), and Pier Guidi/Bobbi in seventh (1:47.040).
