"The 40 kg ballast affected the car and the tyres suffered in the heat. Despite this handicap, we managed to gain a few places at the start but, I have to admit, I spent more of my time checking the rear view mirrors than the track ahead of me. I was most concerned with avoiding any type of contact; this is what you have to do if you want to be successful.

There is one round left and a positive factor is that we will not have any ballast on board. The world title could even be won in the Qualifying Race in Argentina. We are a step away from victory but we have to stay focused".
