As well as driving track cars, she collaborates with the Radio Montecarlo site. Piazzalunga showed she was at home in the pit lane: “Engines and racing are my passions”. She has experience in Formula 2000 and Formula 3 and has also raced motorbikes.

“Finally I have returned to my true love: cars. I began racing young, at Monza, in Formula Junior (in the cadet Trofeo). Since then I have raced often, some brief stints away from the track aside. I would like to race even more but, after a break of a few years, I have to get back into the swing of things.

I am pleased to have driven the Maserati GranTurismo MC Trofeo. It was my first time in the car and, I have to say, it was amazing. The 450 bhp engine allows you to have fun; it is a superb car. I don’t feel I have to compete against the guys as I feel at home on the track.”
