"Knowing the circuit so well was, without a doubt, an advantage. Even so, it was my first time in the Maserati GranTurismo MC Trofeo. It is not an easy car to drive but I managed to improve as the weekend went on and ended up setting very good lap times".

Cedric Sbirrazzuoli – AF Corse (2nd Team, 2nd overall):

"I think that the start was the crucial moment in my race as I was able to climb a few places. I managed to get past Vida a few laps later to move into the second spot I held until the chequered flag. I am pleased to have won some important points for the Team series. Now we will see how things turn out for my team mate, Alessandro Chionna in Race 2”.

Emanuele Smurra – Swiss Team (3rd Team, 11th overall):

"The weekend got off to a tough start because qualifying didn't go too well even though I coped better than other drivers in some of the trickier sections. I had some difficulty keeping the tyres up to temperature in the early stages of the race and so lost a bit of time. This meant that I fell down the field and then was clipped and spun. From then on it was all uphill. I didn't think I would make the podium so I am well pleased".
