"Apart from this slight hitch, the race was enjoyable and tough. Cedric and I had a close battle but we both played by the rules; something I am proud of. I tried to go for the win but lost ground towards the end trying to get past a back marker. Sbirrazzuoli was able to pull away and so I just focused on finishing second, still a solid result in the Trofeo".

Gaetano Ardagna (2nd in the Trofeo category, 3rd overall):
"I tried to drive an intelligent race and was careful at the start when lots of drivers tried to get past me. I waited until the halfway stage before making a bid to climb up the field. I made the most of a Villa mistake and, near the end, had to defend my spot from Andrinna Gugger who really was going for it. I am satisfied with this result because it came on a difficult circuit like Monza".

Andrina Gugger (3rd in the Trofeo category, 4th overall):
"It was my first time driving a GT on the track in the wet. I have to say that I am pleased with the outcome. It was a nervy, tight but enjoyable race. I like the Maserati GranTurismo MC Trofeo a lot, just as I do the championship and the whole atmosphere. The drivers were superb and raced within the rules".
