"We had to keep our wits about us because there were also cars from another category on the track. They were quicker, making things even harder, and so I had to be extra careful. I find this factor adds extra spice: if I raced more frequently, I would get more of a buzz from competing against the different marques.
In truth, I think I am one of the slowest drivers here this weekend but that doesn't really bother me. I am just here to enjoy the race, improve my time, drive further than I ever have before and finish this marvellous weekend without incident".
Justino Riveroll Azcarate: "Free practice went well. I am learning all the time and Vallelunga is no exception. This is my third race in a Maserati but my first time at this circuit. The other drivers are really quick: Bertolini is a true professional. I finished two seconds behind Ardagna and so I should be pleased with how it went. This is a great track but we have to be careful because we are sharing the track with faster cars. This means that we are always checking our mirrors and its easy to let your concentration slip. It is a tough circuit: turn one is downhill and is a stretch where you really pick up speed. If you make a mistake there, you're off. Still, what I am interested in is constantly improving. I will have more of a chance with new tyres on. We will see how things go".
