"There are wide straights you can pick up speed on but there is also a really tight curve. It is a circuit where you really need to concentrate.
This morning I decided just to run five laps so that I didn't wear out the tyres too much ahead of the long race this evening (50 minutes, ed). I will be paying close attention to the GT championship cars tonight. I will have to keep my eyes open"

Nicolò Piancastelli: "This qualifying session went well and I managed to take pole position. I hope to carry the form into this afternoon. It is crucial for me to do well so that I make up some points on Baldi and Ardagna. Things are going well so far. I am pleased because Bertolini and Pier Guidi are not too far off in terms of time. They are, obviously, quicker but I think I can still shave some time off my lap. I hope to qualify well again".
